Welcome to the online help. This help is divided into the several
administration areas. But before starting to create articles or users you
might at first configure the main settings of the webshop. This settings
you find under
chapter 2.1 or directly in the
administration interface via Configuration->Settings.
You enter the main area direcly after your login. The following settings
are available in here:
Here you can create, edit, lock or delete articles that should be displayed
in the webshop.
The list will be empty first. Select the button "New article" to create a
new article. You will be forwarded to another page in which you can create
the new article. The following inputs are necessary:
- Article name - this will be displayed below the article
- Article description - a former description for the detail page
- Article video - a optional video (e.g. HTML-source to YouTube).
Keep in mind that the measurements must be adopted.
- Article category - you might use this if you like to devide the
articles into groups, see also chapter 1.2, if you don't
like to use categroies, set this field to "None".
- Article images (Normal image, large image, thumbnail) - images
for this article, if you are using images with other measurements than
set under chapter 2.1, the measurements will be corrected
while uploading
- Article price - the price for this article
- Article amount - the available amount of the article, see also
chapter 2.1
- Article keywords - additional phrases that make it easier to find
this article
- Article custom fields - you might use this, if there are different
implementations of this article. E.g a t-shirt is available in the different
colors black and white - in that case you set the custom field name to
"Color" and the values to "black;white" (always seperate them by a colon).
Another example: "black;yellow;green;blue"
If the article list is filled with articles, 3 buttons appear behind each
article
- Edit - to edit an existing article
- Lock (Unlock) - to remove an article temporary from the
assortment (or add it again) without deleting it
- Delete - delete an article finally
Here you can mangage categories which you can use to group articles.
This list will be empty fist, choose "New category" to create a new
category. The following inputs are necessary in the appearing page:
- Category name - this name will be show above the articles
as a tabfolder
- Category description - a description for this category
- Category position - this allows you to sort the categories by

If the category-list contains categores, 3 buttons appear behind each of
its items.
- Edit - to edit an existing category
- Lock (Unlock) - to remove a category temporary from the
assortment (or add it again) without deleting it (all contained articles
are affected as well!)
- Delete - delete a category finally (the contained articles are
not affected, they will remain)
Orders cannot be created manually. They will be created during a webshop
order. Orders have a state which you can set to done or undone. They can
also be deleted. If you want to inform your customers about done orders
(see also
chapter 2.3), keep in mind to set an order
at first to done before you delete it.
Customers are a special usertype. In common they will be created during a
order automatically. You might also create a customer manually. Select the
"New customer" button. The following page contains the following input fields:

- User password/confirmation - is also not necessary for
customers - but for other usertypes
- Address (First name, Last name, Street, City, ...) - is
mandatory for customer users, but not for other user types
- Wants newsletter - a customer chooses this during its order. Other
usertypes do not need this setting
If the customer list contains customers, the following 3 buttons appear
behind each entry:
- Edit - to edit an existing user
- Lock (Unlock) - to remove a user temporary without deleting it
- Delete - delete a user finally
Here you can enter a newletter-text, which is send by pressing "Send"
to all the customer email addresses which want to receive a newsletter.
Users differ by their usertypes:
- Reporter - a user that is allowed to administrate articles
- Siteowner - a user that is allowed to administrate the shop
- Administrator - a user that can change critical system settings
It depends on the way you want to run your shop, if you'd like to use
multiple user accounts. Important is that users must have a alias and a
password to log into the administrative interface. Their handling is the
same like customers in
chapter 1.4.
Here you can have a look at the emails which are genereted by the system.
You have also the possibility to delete them in here.
Here you set the basic webshop configurations, see also
chapter 2.
This allows you to modifiy the look of your webshop. Select a theme and
replace the logos of the currently selected theme (take care of the image
measurements to avoid images getting stretched).
Here basic system information is shown to you (software version, PHP
versionnumber, server settings) as well as a statistic about the webshop
(article count, visitors count, ...)
Shows the PHP-info. This might be useful for error detection. Not necessary
for the normal shop duty.
