The PassMark BurnInTest Optical drive test routine requires a BurnInTest Data CD, DVD and/or Blu-ray disc. PassMark CD Maker generates the necessary disk image, through which it is possible for the tester to create the Data CD/DVD/BDs themselves.
CD Maker can generate six different types of file sets.
• | DVD-5 (Single sided/Single layer) 4.7GB |
• | DVD-9 (Single sided/Double layer) 8.5 GB |
• | DVD-10 (Double sided/Single layer) 9.4GB |
• | DVD-18 (Double sided/Double layer) 17GB |
• | BD-25 (Single sided/Single layer) 25GB |
• | BD-50 (Single sided/Double layer) 50GB |
This tool has been designed as a utility for use with BurnInTest and PerformanceTest. CDs, DVDs or BDs created from these file sets will have no use except when used with either BurnInTest and/or PerformanceTest. It should also be noted that the file set can only be used to create a DVD-ROM or a BD-ROM, for computer use, and not be used to create a DVD-Video or a BD-Video.
CD Maker will allow a file set to be created in any, user selected, directory. The selected directory must not contain any existing files or subdirectories.
When creating the actual CD, DVD or BD using 3rd party CD-Burner, DVD-Burner or BD-Burner software, it is necessary that the files reside in the root directory of that CD/DVD/BD.
